At Synthonyx Group, we believe European organizations deserve to control their own data, infrastructure, and compliance processes. Not because sovereignty is fashionable, but because dependency is a vulnerability.
We exist to build that infrastructure directly and to participate in ventures that share this conviction. No hype. No pitch decks without product. Just engineering that makes essential things work better.
The challenge we face
Europe’s digital backbone runs on infrastructure it doesn’t control. That creates real, structural risk:
- Local control infrastructure that is hosted locally, scales locally and that’s compliant with local requirements.
- Compliance is manual and expensive. DORA, NIS2, ISO 27001, GDPR: organizations spend six to seven figures on consultants with spreadsheets.
- Legacy tools don’t integrate. Most tools were built for a different era. They cannot connect to modern DevOps pipelines or cloud-native stacks.
These are not abstract regulatory concerns. They are operational failures that cost real money and create real exposure. They demand engineered solutions, not more consulting hours.
What we believe
Sovereignty by design. Data residency, jurisdictional control, and infrastructure ownership should be architectural decisions, not afterthoughts.
Engineer-driven over hype-driven. We trust people who ship working systems over people who sell visions. The best products are built by the people who use them.
Open and transparent. Closed-source compliance tools are a contradiction. You cannot verify what you cannot inspect. Open-source principles are a strategic advantage, not idealism.
Execution over optics. We measure ourselves by what works in production, not what looks good in a slide deck. Ship, measure, iterate.
How we act
Synthonyx Group participates in ventures and builds subsidiaries that:
- Build modular infrastructure: composable, API-first, and designed to outlast any single vendor relationship
- Design for sovereignty and ownership: jurisdiction-aware infrastructure with full data control by the customer
- Embrace open-source collaboration: source-available licensing (BSL) that ensures transparency without sacrificing sustainability
- Focus on Europe-first: our market, our regulations, our values, before expanding globally
We contribute architecture, engineering capacity, and long-term strategic thinking. We do not consult from the sidelines.
Where we’re headed
Our structure is deliberate. Synthonyx Group Ltd (Cyprus) is the holding company and sole shareholder of several operating companies:
- Synthonyx Technologies Ltd (Cyprus): the product and engineering subsidiary. Builds Synthonyx Linux, the Sovereign compliance platform and BSOS next-generation ERP. The technical engine of the group.
- Synthonyx Ltd (Cyprus): the participation vehicle. Used to co-found and participate in promising technology companies with aligned missions.
This structure keeps engineering close to the product, market access close to the customer, and strategic participation close to the mission.
